ALEX Jankewitz has completed his second transfer in the space of six months, having left Saints in the summer.

The Switzerland under-21 international was highly rated at Saints, coming up through the club's academy having arrived as a 16-year-old from Geneva-based Servette.

The midfielder went on to play three senior matches for Saints between January and February 2021.

His final appearance came on his only start for the club, when he was sent off in just the second minute for a reckless challenge as Saints were thumped 9-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

With just a year left on his deal, Jankewitz left Saints in the summer to return to Switzerland, signing for BSC Young Boys, for an undisclosed fee.

But the 20-year-old has found game-time hard to come by under former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner.

Jankewitz has made just five appearances for Young Boys, four of which have come as a substitute.

He has now moved on to fellow Swiss Super League outfit FC St Gallen, on loan until the end of the season.

A statement from Young Boys insisted they are still "convinced by the qualities" of Jankewitz, and as such have not included an option-to-buy in the agreement with St Gallen, who are currently battling against relegation from the top flight.
