SAINTS have this morning confirmed they have recalled young striker Dan Nlundulu from his loan spell at Lincoln City.
The 22-year-old had initially signed a deal to join Michael Appleton’s Imps for the entire campaign, but has now returned to St Mary’s.
He made 21 appearances for the League One side, scoring in a 2-1 win at Wigan back in October.
Academy graduate Nlundulu broke through into the Saints first team last season, making his senior debut as a late substitute in a Premier League win over Everton.
The French-born youngster went on to make a further 15 appearances for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side during the 2020-21 campaign.
Nlundulu has already played for Lincoln against Bowers & Pitsea in the FA Cup this season, meaning he would not be available to feature in Saturday’s third-round tie at Swansea City.
Lincoln have also lost Archie Mair from their squad after he was recalled by Norwich City.
A statement on the Imps website said: “We would like to thank Dan and Archie for their contribution this season and wish them well in their careers.”
