FOUR Football League sides are reportedly after former Saints winger Josh Sims, who departed St Mary’s in the summer.

The clubs are named as Championship outfit Hull City and League One trio Sheffield Wednesday, Lincoln City and Portsmouth.

Sims, 24, has been a free agent since his Saints exit and has been weighing up the options for his next career move.

He revealed that he had had a heart pain issue which meant he didn’t kick a ball for most of 2021, back in November last year.

But Football Insider are now reporting that each of the quartet want to bolster their attacking options with the Yeovil-born talent.

Sims made senior appearances for Saints after joining the academy in 2011, and progressing his way through to the first-team.

His set up for Charlie Austin saw his Premier League debut end in victory, providing the assist for the only goal in a 1-0 win over Everton in 2016-17.

Sims had loan moves to Reading, New York Red Bulls and Doncaster Rovers followed but none of them yielded much success.
