OF course Nathan Tella would like to see Armando Broja remain at Saints beyond the end of the season, but the Saints starlet is just focusing on the time he will share with the Albanian international.

A revelation since joining on loan from Chelsea in the summer, Broja’s stock has skyrocketed after impressing for Saints – leaving fans clamouring for his permanent capture.

Whilst the form of Broja makes any potential transfer more expensive, there is a slight hope that Saints can land the in-form striker, but the club are aware that Chelsea are keen to see the Albanian replicate his efforts in a blue shirt.

Despite the speculation regarding his teammate, Tella was keen to stress just how talented the Chelsea youngster was.

The 22-year-old stated: “It’s great to see how well he’s doing. At the start of the season it was quite difficult for him, because he wasn’t playing as much.

“But now, in my opinion, he’s the first name on the team sheet.

“He’s done that well, he’s taken the game by storm.

“He’s still only 20, a young player. You can just see he has bundles of talent.”

The former Arsenal youngster also revealed how the pair had grown close since Broja’s arrival on the south coast this summer.

“Yeah, obviously, he's a very good friend,” continued Tella.

“He’s one of my closest friends at the club at the moment.”

When asked if he’d like to see the club move to keep Broja long-term, Tella was coy.

The winger replied: “I'm just looking forward to seeing him here for the rest of the season and whatever happens in the future, it will take care of itself.”
