SAINTS travel to Wolves off the back of an impressive four unbeaten run in the Premier League and five in all competitions, on Saturday, January 15.

However, the Molineux has been a tricky hunting ground for Saints as of late – aside from the FA Cup win last season. They’re without a win in five league meetings there, dating back to 2007.

That is why it will be a big boost for Ralph Hasenhuttl that Kyle Walker-Peters is able to make his return from COVID and suspension, but Moi Elyounoussi and Theo Walcott will remain out.

The Austrian is likely to stick with his 3-5-2/5-3-2 and match up again to Wolves manager Bruno Lage, just like he did with Thomas Frank and Brentford so successfully midweek.

Here’s how we think he will line his Saints side up:

Goalkeeper

Fraser Forster will retain his starting spot, having been so impressive in all three of his Premier League appearances this term.

Defence

Kyle Walker-Peters will be given license to attack on his favoured right side in a wing-back role, with Jan Bednarek, Lyanco and Mohammed Salisu making up a defensive trio. Romain Perraud will also enjoy extended his best spell of Saints games since his summer arrival.

Midfield

All three of James Ward-Prowse, Oriol Romeu and Ibrahima Diallo were so impressive versus Brentford, and as such Hasenhuttl will find it difficult to name any other flat midfield trio. The boss said that Diallo had 'sent me a message' with his recent star-showing.

Attack

Armando Broja is a shoo-in and Saints’ most dangerous quantity at the moment, with five Premier League goals to his name aged 20. To partner him, Nathan Redmond could be afforded some rest with Che Adams returning to the firing line after his substitute goal in the Brentford rout.
