EASTLEIGH FC striker Ben House has completed a permanent move to League One outfit Lincoln City.

The 22-year-old frontman has gained plaudits at the National League side following his move from Reading’s academy.

The youngster scored 13 goals in 54 league matches for the Spitfires and becomes the third young player to make a move to League One or above in successive seasons.

He follows in the footsteps of defenders Rob Atkinson and Joe Tomlinson, who now compete in the Championship with Bristol City and Peterborough respectively.

House was a regular goalscorer at youth levels in Premier League 2 for Reading, before leaving the academy following a difficult loan spell with National League Dagenham & Redbridge.

Manager Ben Strevens gave House the reigns to create and attack in his Spitfires side and the results were an improved player who had an engine and inventiveness in similar measure.

He joins a Lincoln City side who are fighting a potential relegation battle, although they are currently four points off the drop zone.

They have also signed forwards Liam Cullen, on loan from Swansea City, and John Marquis on a deal until the end of the season from Portsmouth, already in this January transfer window.
