Nicky Butt and Alan Smith return from suspension but Emre serves the second leg of his three-match suspension. Mark Viduka remains a major doubt with the calf problem while Habib Beye, Abdoulaye Faye, Geremi and Obafemi Martins are away on African Nations Cup duty. Joey Barton is still unavailable and Peter Ramage (knee) remains on the sidelines.

Top scorers: Emmanuel Adebayor (Arsenal) 16; Obafemi Martins (Newcastle) 7.

Match odds: H 1-3 A 7-1 D 3-1.

Referee: Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire).

Barnet v Bristol Rovers.

Paul Fairclough will be without suspended midfielder Michael Leary and on-loan Charlton teenager Josh Wright will replace him. Fellow midfielder Ashley Carew is also back in contention after a ban and defender Sagi Burton could be recalled to the squad after medial knee ligament damage.

Steve Elliott misses out after suffering suspected medial ligament damage. His absence could offer Danny Coles a chance to return to his natural defensive duties after playing the last few games in midfield. That in turn could see Craig Disley, who scored the winning penalty in the shoot-out victory over Fulham to set up this tie, recalled to the midfield.

Top scorers: Cliff Akurang, Jason Puncheon (Barnet) 10; Richard Lambert (Bristol Rovers) 11.

Match odds: H 7-4 A 6-5 D 9-4.

Referee: Steve Bennett (Kent).

Coventry v Millwall.

Elliott Ward is the only recognised centre-half available to Iain Dowie. Arjan De Zeeuw is suspended and Ben Turner (hamstring) and Colin Hawkins and Marcus Hall (both Achilles) are sidelined while Robert Page left the club to join Huddersfield this week. Kevin Kyle is suspended, Michael Hughes is doubtful with a thigh strain but Stephen Hughes returns from a leg injury.

Millwall hope Scott Barron and Gary Alexander shake off knocks while Zak Whitbread (toe), Ahmet Brkovic (hamstring) and Marcus Bignot (muscle strain) are also in contention. Marc Laird is unavailable, however, as he is cup-tied after playing for Port Vale earlier in the competition.

Paul Jewell remains without several players through injury, including Tyrone Mears, Jay McEveley, Dean Leacock, David Jones, Stephen Pearson and Stephen Bywater, while Giles Barnes is struggling with a virus.

Preston's Neil Mellor is suffering from a slight groin strain, fellow striker Brett Ormerod has been absent from training due to food poisoning, while midfielder Richard Chaplow hopes to shake off a slight hamstring injury. Billy Jones (hernia) and goalkeeper Wayne Henderson (back) remain sidelined.

Liverpool v Havant and Waterlooville.

Alvaro Arbeloa (abdominal injury) and striker Andriy Voronin (ankle) miss out, with the latter expected to be sidelined for six weeks. Rafael Benitez is likely to field players who did not start against Aston Villa on Monday. That could mean Steve Finnan, Charles Itandje, Lucas, Peter Crouch, Xabi Alonso and Ryan Babel being in the starting line-up.

The minnows are without suspended full-backs Justin Gregory and Brett Poate. Tony Taggart should be fit despite tooth trouble this week but Neil Sharp (knee) could miss out. Gary Elphick, Craig Watkins, Chamel Fenelon and Charlie Henry are cup-tied.

Top scorers: Fernando Torres (Liverpool) 17; Richard Pacquette, Rocky Baptiste (Havant and Waterlooville) 3.

Match odds: H 1-100 A 100-1 D 7-1.

Referee: Phil Dowd (Staffordshire).

Mansfield v Middlesbrough.

Billy Dearden has no new injury worries but is still without defenders Martin McIntosh and Alex John-Baptiste, who have calf and back injuries respectively.

Mido returns to the squad but may not be involved in the 16 after a lengthy lay-off with a stress fracture of the pubic bone. Defender Jonathan Woodgate is still struggling with a shin injury, while midfielder Gary O'Neil is likely to miss out through illness. Lee Cattermole could return from his own bout of sickness while Julio Arca has shaken off the slight knock he picked up last week.

Top scorers: Michael Boulding (Mansfield) 15; Stewart Downing, Adam Johnson (Middlesbrough) 5.

Match odds: H 7-1 A 1-3 D 3-1.

Referee: Steve Tanner (Somerset).

Oldham v Huddersfield.

Latics striker Lee Hughes is suspended so Deane Smalley, who usually plays on the wing but has played as a central striker, could be handed an opportunity to impress in attack. Defender John Thompson (knee ligaments), striker Andy Liddell (Achilles) and skipper Sean Gregan (Achilles problem) remain sidelined.

Huddersfield will be without suspended pair Chris Brandon and Joe Skarz but Danny Schofield and Frank Sinclair will return to the squad after ankle trouble and suspension respectively. Michael Collins may play in midfield but striker Andy Booth is expected to sidelined again by an ongoing back problem.

Portsmouth v Plymouth.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp welcomes back skipper Sol Campbell (back) and midfielder Sean Davis (foot) from injury while striker Milan Baros will be added to the squad if his loan signing from Lyon and international clearance goes through in time. Redknapp is keen to reward Campbell's deputy Noe Pamarot for his consistency in defence and it may be ever-present Sylvain Distin's turn to take a rest.

New strikers Steve MacLean and Jamie Mackie are cuptied and Rory Fallon is likely to partner Jermaine Easter up front. Chris Clark, another January signing, will make his debut while fellow midfielder Yoann Folly, recently signed from Sheffield Wednesday, is not cuptied and can figure.

Top scorers: Benjani Mwaruwari (Portsmouth) 12; David Norris (Plymouth) 5.

Match odds: H 3-10 A 7-1 D 10-3.

Referee: Andre Marriner (W Midlands).

Southampton v Bury.

Jhon Viafara is suspension-free but Saints still have a lengthy injury list. Claus Lundekvam, Nathan Dyer (both ankle), Marek Saganowski (groin), Chris Makin (hip), Cedric Baseya and Adam Lallana (both knee) are all still out, so on-loan Aston Villa defender Stephen O'Halloran will be in contention for his debut.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is cuptied and suspended but midfielder Dave Edwards, is eligible to play. Michael Kightly (ankle) misses out and Jody Craddock (calf) is unlikely to feature. Club captain Gary Breen has an outside chance of playing after stepping up his recovery from a knee problem.

Match odds: H 11-10 A 2-1 D 11-5.

Referee: Keith Stroud (Hampshire).

Emile Heskey has overcome a back injury. With only Ryan Taylor out with a knee injury, Steve Bruce has the luxury of a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from, including left-backs Erik Edman and Maynor Figueroa after both received international clearance this week.

Michael Ballack (calf) is a doubt and Chelsea are still without four players on international duty in the African Nations Cup - Salomon Kalou, Mikel John Obi, Michael Essien and Didier Drogba. Captain John Terry (foot), Andriy Shevchenko (back) and Frank Lampard (thigh) all miss out.

Micah Richards misses out with a knee injury and Javier Garrido is sidelined through illness but Emile Mpenza returns to strengthen the striking options after a five week lay-off with a hamstring problem. With Nery Castillo recovering after a shoulder injury and Rolando Bianchi joining Lazio on loan this week, manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has added another striker to the squad in 18-year- old Daniel Sturridge.
