EASTLEIGH potter O'Shay Scott has progressed to the highly-regarded PowerGlide Cues English Under-14 Snooker Championship final.

The teenager battled through the southern area finals to book his spot against northern qualifier Vladislav Gradinari later this year, the pair the last two standing from a field of 117.

'King of the Long Pot' Scott won all four of his group matches at Woking Snooker Centre to move into the knockout phase, with breaks of 74 and 90 on the way.

Scott dropped his first frame of the day and was taken to a decider by Asten Sahota in the last eight before coming through 2-1. He then beat Owen Jenkins by the same score in the semis.

His opponent in the final was Dorset's rising star Harry Wyatt, whose only previous defeat of the day was to Scott during the group phase.

And Scott repeated the trick to secure the biggest title of his career so far, winning 2-0 with the aid of a 34 break.

The 13-year-old, who attends Toynbee School in Chandler's Ford, will face Moldova-born Gradinari in the final in Leeds in June.

Many former winners of this event have gone on to become professionals on the circuit.
