BRIAN Stock is expected to be confirmed as Eastleigh assistant manager this evening.
Final negotiations are ongoing surrounding Stock's deal, the length of which will be addressed in the summer.
Former Weymouth boss Stock, 40, has been without a job since exiting the Bob Lucas Stadium in mid-January, following a run of seven straight league losses.
Stock embarks on his first assistant's job having won 17 of his 69 matches at Weymouth.
His final game was the 1-0 loss to Southend on Saturday, January 8 - a defeat which left the Terras 21st in the Vanarama National League.
Weymouth still occupy that position and are nine points off safety, with new boss David Oldfield winning only one of 12 matches in charge so far.
Stock will link up with National League side Eastleigh for their home clash with Dagenham tonight (7.45pm).
In joining Eastleigh, the three-time Wales international midfielder is set to link up with Lee Bradbury, his former boss of five seasons during a 150-game stint at Havant.
Bradbury is a former Manchester City, Portsmouth and Bournemouth striker.
Stock also has strong connections to Bournemouth, spending six years at the Cherries as a player between 2000 and 2006 before returning to the club to become a coach in 2019 when his Havant spell ended.
