PAULTON Rovers and AFC Totton played out a competitive 0-0 draw as the two playoff hopefuls were held goalless, writes Benjamin Rees.
In a game that often struggled for fluency with frequent fouls from both sides, Totton had an early penalty shout turned down as the referee pulled it back for a foul outside the area.
Brett Williams played an incisive through ball for the visitors, but Shaq Gwengwe blazed over the bar.
The second half promised much but neither side ever truly found their top form, with the league’s top scorer Leighton Thomas being kept quiet by the Stags defence.
Hisham Kasimu nearly turned home late on for Totton, but the Robins kept him out and in the end the honours were even.
