PACEMAN Kyle Abbott is eager to take as many wickets as possible for Hampshire this season, as he looks to get the Ageas Bowl side “across the line” in the County Championship.
The Southampton side begin their campaign at home against Somerset in Division One of the four-day competition tomorrow.
Speaking to the club website about his goals for 2022, the former South Africa Test star said: “I look to take as many wickets as I can and then doing that is going to hopefully push the club higher in the Championship and give us another run at it like we had last year.
“I think those two go hand in hand.
“I am going to try to contribute as much as I can on and off the field and hopefully we can get across the line this year.”
