TRANSFER analyst group CIES Football Observatory have named Tino Livramento as the second-most valuable Premier League rookie, following his summer move to Saints.

The Swiss economic valuation pioneer assess the 19-year-old’s value at around £20million, behind only Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi – who is around double in value at £40million.

Both of the top two are former Chelsea youth talent, who the Blues sold in the summer for a cut-price of what they are now supposedly worth.

Saints got a good deal out of Livramento, after spending just £5million to acquire the full-back from Cobham with the promise of first-team football.

Livramento’s standing in the game rocketed after starting each of the first 18 Premier League matches of the season, earning England under-21 call-ups in the process.

A meniscus injury in his knee has slightly stunted his progress, with that now requiring consistent management to avoid swelling and further damage.

Despite this, it has still been an incredibly strong first season in senior football for the talented youngster. Livramento’s assigned value sits him 14th across all of European league football rookies.

CIES Football Observatory analyse the value of every player under the age of 23 who has made their debut in a top-five European league this season.

Red Bull Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol tops the list, followed by teammate Dominik Szoboszlai.

The next Premier League name on the list after Livramento is Crystal Palace whizz-kid Michael Olise, who they signed from Championship outfit Reading.
