FULL-BACK Romain Perraud expressed his “love” for Saints team-mate Nathan Tella, who he believes is the fastest player in the St Mary’s squad.

The French defender revealed how the duo had struck up a good relationship since he made the move to join Saints from Stade Brest last summer.

Put to him Tella said he was one of the fastest players in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s squad, but maybe not in the top five, Perraud said: “To be honest, I love him, he is my guy. He is like sunshine.

“I don't know if it is true, but we have a very good relationship between him and me, and it is good to have a friend like him.”

Asked if he felt he was one of the quickest players in Saints’ dressing room, Perraud said: “No, not me. Tells is the fastest, definitely."
