SAINTS midfielder Oriol Romeu earned his second cap for Catalonia during their 6-0 win over Jamaica on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old was handed his first start and played 45 minutes of the comfortable victory in Girona.
Catalonia were playing their first match since a 2-1 victory over Venezuela in 2019, when Romeu won his first cap.
Former Everton and Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu scored a hat-trick before the interval to set Catalonia well ahead of their opposition.
Ex-Barcelona man Romeu represented Spain at youth level, but never earned a full cap despite featuring with the under-23 age group.
Catalonia, affiliated to the Spanish Football Federation, cannot be affiliated with either UEFA or FIFA as a member nation or compete in their tournaments.
