SAINTS have learned their schedule for the 2022-23 Premier League season and face a trip to Tottenham Hotspur to open the campaign.

Affairs kick off for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side on Saturday, August 6, with a trip to the capital – while Leeds United visit St Mary’s for the first home clash a week later.Β

Leicester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Wolves make up the first six for Saints, while Liverpool at Anfield will be the final game before the World Cup break on Saturday, November 12.

Football returns on Boxing Day, with Saints hosting Brighton & Hove Albion – while the Premier League have done away with December 28 fixtures to ease congestion.

The New Year round of games sees Saints travel to newly-promoted Fulham, before welcoming Championship play-off winners Nottingham Forest to Southampton a few days later.

The other promoted side – AFC Bournemouth – are scheduled to meet Saints in evening games home and away – with 7:45pm kick-offs on Tuesday, October 18 and Wednesday, April 26.

A tough run of games between March and April sees Saints face Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Manchester City.

Saints will host Liverpool in their final home match of the season for the second consecutive season, this time in matchday 38 itself, on Sunday, May 28.

Fixture scheduling is subject to change on the basis of TV picks.
