SAINTS have announced a busy schedule for their B team pre-season including two local non-league ties, as they build up to the Premier League 2 campaign.

The young Saints, coached by Dave Horseman, will compete in the reformatted Premier League 2 which has seen the age reduced from an under-23 to under-21 competition.

They will visit Spain as part of their pre-season campaign, at around the same time as the first-team visit Worthersee in Austria. This may mean some of the best youngsters are not present.

The schedule opens with a clash versus Frome Town, at the home of the Somerset side, on Saturday, July 9.

They then fly to Spain and face matches versus FC Cartagena (Wednesday, July 13) and Villareal B (Sunday, July 17). The first-team face Villareal’s senior side in their final pre-season match.

Wycombe Wanderers (Saturday, July 23) and Watford under-23s (Saturday, July 30) visit Staplewood Complex and sandwich a clash with National League Eastleigh at Silverlake Stadium (Tuesday, July 26).

Finally, Saints B face AFC Totton at Snows Stadium on Tuesday, August 2, before beginning their Premier League 2 campaign.

Ticket details for applicable fixtures are to be announced in due course.
