SAINTS have released their new home kit for the 2022-23 season and favoured a ‘bold’ approach with the striking design.
Hummel have swapped the red and white stripes to draw inspiration from kits of the 80s, reversing the original to see a red centre-stripe and centred badge.
The shirt is complemented by black shorts and white socks with red trim and red chevrons.
👕 Have to say I'm a big fan of the new #SaintsFC home kit. Hummel are making great gear. (Pics: SFC)

Again with the subtle touches. Away will be interesting, too. Intrigued to hear your thoughts? pic.twitter.com/jyo2uGwfZg
Further subtle detail is reflected in the geometric pattern taken from the iconic stanchions of St Mary’s.
The sleeves are adorned with two chevrons, taken from Hummel’s iconic design trademark, and have been inspired by their retro kits. The inside neckline also features the Hummel logo.
The club say they are fully committed to creating a positive impact on the environment, as part of The Halo Effect.
Therefore, like last season, the kit has been produced using Eco8 material made from fabric created using recycled plastic bottles.
What are your thoughts on the kit? Here is what you have already been saying…
WarfieldSaint: Hmmm - what's the geometric pattern all about - by the looks of things int makes the shirts look grey and grubby. Maybe it's different to the naked eye.
Quite like the crest in the middle, the heart of the shirt. Bit different but it will change again next season. Like the design in the white. Curious to see if it has a meaning or is purely random

Really hope they at least keep the away kit yellow. Don't know why we've changed our team colour to be white more than red. To me, this style is weird as hell and I don't understand why they wouldn't just keep stripes. Maybe I'm getting old and don't understand "drip" anymore 😂

one of the best kits we’ve had in a while, superb

What I don’t like: the sponsor logo, the central badge, the black trim around the neck and down the red stripe. Other than that it’s alright.

A throwback to the 1999-2000 season I personally love it too there is only so much you can do with stripes too pic.twitter.com/VMo8jllAIi

Too short for the average middle aged shirt wearing football fan with a beer belly.

You're gonna see a lot of belly buttons at St Mary's.
