FORMER Saints attacker Katie Rood has signed pre-contract terms with Scottish side Hearts, following her south coast exit this summer.
The 29-year-old New Zealander will link up with the Scotland Women’s Premier League outfit for the 2022-23 campaign.
It was revealed Rood was not retained by Saints, following a key role in their promotion to the Championship, earlier this month.
Alisha Ware, Caitlin Morris, Katie, Kirsty Whitton, Sara Luce, Shannon Sievwright and Shelly Provan all also departed the club, which now turns full-time.
Rood has been capped 15 times for her country, following a career which has also seen spells with the likes of Bristol City and Juventus.
