SAINTS have confirmed their fourth signing of the summer transfer window with the introduction of Manchester City midfielder Romeo Lavia.

The 18-year-old is vastly experienced at youth level for both club and country, and is already an Under-18 Premier League and Premier League 2 winner.

Pep Guardiola handed him two first-team appearances for the Etihad Stadium side last season, but he is now a permanent St Mary’s player.

It can be difficult to assess midfielders off short-form video – there is no compilation of his best goals or saves. It’s a different, but integral role.

Here are three compilation videos – of varying professionalism – to try and give you an insight into why Sport Republic have placed their faith in another teenager.

Welcome, Romeo.
