SAINTS striker Dan Nlundulu is reportedly set to re-join Cheltenham Town on loan, five months after his last spell with the Robins was cut short by injury.

GloucestershireLive report that the France-born striker will return to the Johnny Rocks Stadium for a second time this year, although there is no indication to how long the loan spell will be.

23-year-old Nlundulu initially linked up with the Gloucestershire outfit in January, making four appearances in League One after cutting short his loan spell with Lincoln City.

However, in the final game of the month against Wigan Athletic, he picked up a hamstring injury that forced him to return to St. Mary’s for rehabilitation.

In total, Nlundulu has made a total of 16 appearances for Saints, scoring once in a 2-0 FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.

Eligible for France, England, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nlundulu is a two-time England under-16 international.

Nlundulu signed a three-year contract prior to leaving the club on loan at the start of last season, with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2024.

If the striker does return to Cheltenham, there will be a new boss in the dugout – with former Saints academy player Wade Elliott now in charge of the Robins, following the departure of long serving manager Michael Duff to league rivals Barnsley.

Elliott, who came to prominence following a spell with non-league Bashley, had spent the past two seasons as a first team coach with the League One side.
