EVERTON have become the latest Premier League club to have reportedly approached Chelsea in regards to a move for highly sought after Armando Broja.

The Albanian international spent last season at St Mary’s, turning heads with his exploits in the first-half of the campaign.

MORE TRANSFER GOSSIP:

Whilst Broja’s form dropped after the turn of the year, coinciding with Saints’ troubles on the pitch, it is believed that there are four Premier League teams interested in the services of the 20-year-old.

Saints are believed to hold some interest in retaining the services of the Slough-born striker, although it appears unlikely that they are keen on a bidding war for an attacker that scored six times in 33 Premier League appearances last term.

According to Sky Sports, Frank Lampard – who handed Broja his Premier League debut whilst at Chelsea – is keen to bring Broja to Merseyside, with Everton making an opening approach to the London giants.

The reports follow preceding news that West Ham had made a similar approach in June, whist Newcastle United are thought to like the idea of bringing Broja into the fold at St James’ Park, but only on a loan deal.

Everton are keen to bolster their attacking options after the departure of Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspurs, with the Toffees looking to utilise some of the reported £60 million they received for the Brazillian. It is rumoured that Chelsea value Broja around the £30m mark.

Chelsea’s stance remains that they would like to take a look at Broja during pre-season training before making a decision on the Albanian’s future.

With the departure of Romelu Lukaku and questions over Timo Werner’s future at Stamford Bridge, there is a possibility Broja could find his way into the first team picture under Thomas Tuchel.
