THREE full-backs have been reported as “on the radar” of Saints as the club look to bolster in that position this summer.

The St Mary’s side are reportedly looking at the likes of Manchester United’s Brandon Williams, Feyenoord’s Marcus Pedersen and Manchester City prospect Issa Kabore, according to the Athletic.

Manchester United defender Williams played 29 times in all competitions while on loan at Norwich last season.

Norwegian Pedersen has European experience, having featured in the Europa Conference League for Dutch outfit Feyenoord during the 2021-22 campaign.

Kabore, who has been heavily linked with Saints in recent weeks, spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Troyes.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has already stressed his need to strengthen in that area, following the serious knee injury sustained by England under-21 international Tino Livramento last campaign.

Speaking about the full-back area last season, he said: “This is for sure that we have had three players who have always played this position this season, and now one is injured for a long time.

“We do something this summer on this position, this is also clear.”

Hasenhuttl currently has the likes of Kyle Walker-Peters, Yan Valery and Romain Perraud as senior full-back options.

Youngsters Jake Vokins and Kayne Ramsay were on loan in the Scottish Premiership with Ross County last campaign.
