BOSS Ralph Hasenhuttl confirmed summer signings Gavin Bazunu and Sekou Mara would feature for Saints in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Keeper Bazunu was brought in for a reported, initial £12million from Manchester City back in June, while striker Mara’s initial 11million euro switch from Bordeaux was finalised on Monday.

It will be the first time a St Mary’s home crowd will get to witness the duo in Saints colours when they take on Spanish outfit Villarreal (3pm).

“Gavin will play on Saturday,” confirmed Hasenhuttl, who opted to start Alex McCarthy in goal for Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Monaco.

He added: “Sekou will play on the weekend.”

Saints have brought in six fresh faces over the summer, with the likes of Armel Bella Kotchap, Joe Aribo, Romeo Lavia and Mateusz Lis also recruited.

Asked whether he was expecting any more fresh additions by the weekend, the boss replied: “We have 36 days of the transfer window left – it’s quite long, eh?

“We don’t have to hurry but be sure we will bring players in.”
