CHELSEA are the latest club to be linked with a move for Saints full-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

The 25-year-old has been one of the club's standout players since making his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur permanent in the summer of 2020, for a fee of £12million.

The England international has made 82 appearances for Saints, and still has three years to run on his contract.

Manchester United have also this summer been linked with a move for Walker-Peters, with reports suggesting Spurs retain a £30million buy-back clause from the deal to sell the defender to Saints.

The Guardian are among the publications to report Chelsea's interest in Walker-Peters, with a fee of between £30m and £35m mooted.

Thomas Tuchel's side are said to be seeking a new right-back to provide competition to Reece James.

Brighton's Marc Cucurella, as well as Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan have also been touted as possible options.

The transfer window closes on Thursday, September 1.

Walker-Peters and Yan Valery are Saints' two current options at right-back in the squad, with Tino Livramento battling back from a serious knee injury.
