MANAGER Ralph Hasenhuttl revealed one fresh injury concern for Saints ahead of the clash with Leeds United, with Lyanco set to miss out.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is the only player to be ruled out by the boss, and will join long-term absentee Tino Livramento on the sidelines.
Lyanco, who was left out of the matchday squad for the visit to Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the Premier League season Saturday, has not trained with the team this week.
Hasenhuttl could stick with his trio of central defenders for the visit of Jesse Marsch’s side, but will still have five in Mohammed Salisu, Jan Bednarek, Armel Bella-Kotchap, Yan Valery and Jack Stephens to choose from.
Previewing the contest, Hasenhuttl said: “We had only Lyanco during the week not training with the team, because he had a problem with his knee.
“We had two good sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday and today was a little bit less. After a few days, we tried to be a little bit less intensive.”
Saints welcome Leeds United to St Mary’s on Saturday, August 13, with kick-off at 3PM. The visitors picked up a 2-1 win over Wolves in their opening day match.
