RALPH Hasenhuttl revealed Che Adams has missed training through injury this week but returned today, while Romain Perraud remains absent.

Saints travel to Leicester City in the third match of the 2022-23 Premier League season, searching for their first win of the campaign.

Adams, who was influential in the second-half of the 2-2 draw with Leeds United last Saturday, took a minor injury from the combative clash.

The Scottish international, 26, has missed all training sessions up until Thursday but will be available for selection, Hasenhuttl confirmed.

“After the last game we had only a problem with Che, who wasn’t training until today. Today he was back in the sessions so missed a few sessions this week but is available for the weekend,” he said.

However, Perraud remains sidelined after he has missed out on the matchday squad last weekend, having been used as a substitute during the opening day defeat at Tottenham Hotspur.

Daily Echo:

Hasenhuttl continued: “Romain is still not available and he was out last game, Tino (Livramento) is out.

“Theo (Walcott) is also not training with the team, he missed the whole pre-season with injury so is on the way back, training everyday. The rest is okay, Lyanco can play.”

Leicester City vs Saints kicks off at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, August 20 at 3PM.
