SAINTS are reportedly among a host of Premier League and European clubs with an interest in Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

The England under-21 international already has 171 senior games under his belt – despite being just 22-years-old – including 70 appearances in the Premier League.

The Carrow Road-based side suffered relegation from the top-flight last campaign and are looking to keep hold of the likes of Aarons to bolster their chances of bouncing right back.

However, the Daily Mail report that a number of European clubs have already had approaches for the talented youngster rebuffed.

They say Italian sides Atalanta and Monza have seen loan approaches turned down, while German’s Borussia Monchengladbach tried on a permanent basis.

The report details Norwich City telling Aarons he will be able to exit the club, if they receive a satisfactory offer for his signature.

Aarons has started all five matches of the Championship season so far, and the report adds Saints and Manchester United are among those who hold an interest in the two-time Championship team of the year defender.

Saints are in the market for another full-back with Tino Livramento sidelined by an ACL injury until 2023, and Romain Perraud battling fitness issues of his own that have kept him out until now.

The Frenchman is expected to be back in training next week, but his absence has seen Moussa Djenepo deputise in more defensive roles with Kyle Walker-Peters the only recognised senior in his position.
