SAINTS winger Nathan Redmond has reportedly been offered to Cherries, according to numerous sources.

TalkSPORT, the Athletic, and BBC Radio Solent have all reported that the 28-year-old is surplus to requirements at St Mary’s, paving the way for a potential late switch to Dorset.

The two clubs have already done business on deadline day, with Jack Stephens joining Cherries on season-long loan from Saints.

Due to that deal, any transfer for Redmond will have to be a permanent one, with Premier League clubs unable to take two loan players from the same club at once.

As such, it has been suggested that Saints will terminate Redmond’s contract, effectively enabling him to move to the Vitality Stadium as a free agent.

Redmond has played just one minute of Premier League football for Saints this season, coming off the bench in their opening day defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur.

In total he has played 232 games for Saints, scoring 30 times. He has made 264 appearances in the Premier League, having also starred for Norwich City in the top-flight.

A winger is clearly the priority in the closing hours of the window, with BBC Radio Solent reporting that moves for Leeds United’s Daniel James, Club Brugge’s Noa Lang, and Fiorentina’s Christian Kouamé have all been rebuffed.

Reports from Bristol City suggest that Cherries have also had a £10 million bid rejected for attacker Antoine Semenyo.
