AFC Totton stuck nine past Wincanton Town in the FA Cup first qualifying round, storming to a 9-2 victory at Snows Stadium.

Brett Williams scored five to add to Scott Rendell’s brace, while Charlie Kennedy and Jake Adams grabbed one each to open and close the scoring.

The Toolstation Western Division One outfit were put to the sword by Jimmy Ball’s Stags, with Kennedy smashing off the crossbar inside 22 minutes to get scoring under way.

Williams then scored two in two minutes before completing his hattrick just before the half-time break.

Rendell then repeated Williams’ double-salvo antics with a pair in quick succession the other side of the interval, sandwiching Wincanton’s first of the afternoon.

Dan Wise then went back up the other end and scored again for the visitors 90 seconds later, before Stags took control with a couple of changes and a couple more Williams strikes.

Adams scored his first and the match’s final goal in the final minute of regulation time.
