SAINTS ace Moi Elyounoussi assisted for Premier League scoring king Erling Haaland despite Norway’s 2-1 defeat to Slovenia.

The 22-year-old Manchester City striker has scored six goals in five Nations League matches while adding to his 11 Premier League notches already.

Midfielder Elyounoussi capitalised on a wayward defensive pass to direct the ball into Haaland’s path to fire home a minute into the second-half.

However, Slovenia completed a comeback with goals from Andraz Sporar and Benjamin Sesko to turn the match by the final 10 minutes.

Elyounoussi played 70 minutes of the contest, while there was a meeting of three Saints aces elsewhere in the same competition.

Stuart Armstrong started versus Gavin Bazunu in the Scotland versus Republic of Ireland match, with Che Adams introduced off the bench late in the tie.

Republic of Ireland went ahead through John Egan in the first-half but the hosts levelled and won through Jack Hendry and Ryan Christie.

Elsewhere, Mohammed Salisu made his Ghana debut in a friendly versus fancied World Cup outfit Brazil.

Introduced with his team 3-0 down at half-time, Salisu helped to deny the victors any further chances or goals.
