A DATE has now been confirmed for Saints' Hampshire Senior Cup clash with bitter rivals Portsmouth.

Dave Horseman will take his B team to Fratton Park, to take on Pompey on Tuesday, October 11. The game will kick-off at 7.30pm.

The two clubs last met at youth level during the 2013 FA Youth Cup, where Sam Gallagher's hat-trick fired Saints to victory.

At senior level, Saints have not faced Pompey since a 4-0 win in the League Cup in 2019.

Saints Women defeated Portsmouth three times last season.

Ticket details for next month's Senior Cup clash have not yet been released.

Saints, in various guises, are the most successful side in the competition's history, but have not lifted the trophy since 1976.

Farnborough are the current holders, having beaten Eastleigh on penalties in last season's final.
