DEFENDER Mohammed Salisu admitted it was “very disappointing” not to progress to the knockout stages of the World Cup with Ghana but insisted: “We will learn from this.”
The 23-year-old took to social media over the weekend as Ghana bowed out at the group stage of the tournament, following defeat to Uruguay on Friday.
A post on the Saints centre-back’s official Instagram account read: “In life things won’t always go as planned!! But how you respond to the good and bad is the key.
“Very disappointing we didn’t go further, but we will learn from this and work harder. Thanks for your support and love. It was always been a dream @fifaworldcup.”
Salisu played every minute of the tournament for Ghana and scored in their 3-2 victory over South Korea.
They did however end up bottom of Group H with three points from as many games.
