Another game, another dismal performance from Southampton. Another completely different team, another set of excuses.
This time however Nathan Jones decides he’s going to blame everyone else including the fans: that is unforgivable.
There’s a clue in the title, ‘manager’, what the manager decides is what he gets, if it’s not good enough as a manager you have to accept the consequences.

We have witnessed (apart from the Man City game) a succession of changes, players out of position, formations that the players don’t seem to understand, scattergun substitutions, a number of gutless and confused performances resulting in a string of results that cannot be excused, and certainly not blamed on the fans.
We have now missed the opportunity to bring in one of the few managers who could have got us out of this mess, in Shaun Dyche, and it will be very hard to avoid relegation now.
But what is clear is that if something isn’t done we will be heading into the Championship at the end of the season.
