Hello and welcome to your morning Saints briefing where we have the latest on Ruben Selles's side and much, much more.

Well, it's a new week everyone! Sunday's trip to Old Trafford on Sunday offered a bit more promise than many would have expected as Saints came away with a valuable and hard-fought point - relive all the action here.

Speaking after the stalemate, Selles highlighted his pride at the performance while also rueing the missed opportunities to turn one point into three.

After the game we spoke with the resurgent Jan Bednarek who talked through Saints' defensive improvements while also offering an explanation for some controversial comments made upon joining Aston Villa in the summer.

We've also got more reaction from Selles including his thoughts on the performance of Gavin Bazunu and an update on the health of Charly Alcaraz.

Unfortunately, following the draw in Manchester, Kyle Walker-Peters was the subject of racist abuse online. The club has released a strong statement on the matter. We're all with you, Kyle. Police are now investigating.

Looking ahead to this week, Saints have very little time to enjoy the point on Sunday as they prepare for a massive home clash with Brentford.

We'll be at St Mary's on Wednesday to bring you updates from all the action but first, we're at Staplewood today to hear from Selles ahead of the match.

Hope you join us for all of that in a busy busy week!
