Happy Monday everyone - the start of a new week and Saints are back in action this evening when they visit Nottingham Forest with kick-off set for 8PM.

It's hard to be hugely optimistic about Saints' chances - both in this one game and as the season as a whole comes to a close - but defender Jan Bednarek is refusing to give up.

Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, the Polish international insisted that he believes Saints can still pull off a miracle escape but it will have to start with victory at the City Ground and they will need a 'perfect game' to do that.

They absolutely can not have a repeat of the 1-0 defeat to Steve Cooper's side in January or a repeat of the flurry of meek performances that has come in their six-pointers down the stretch.

That and a few other big topics are discussed in this week's edition of the 'big three questions' which you can read here.

Selles has certainly gotten creative with his team selection in recent weeks and that has made predicting his starting XIs rather tough - we've had a go here. Anything you'd change?

One player that will almost certainly continue to start is Alex McCarthy who received praise from Selles after coming in for the dropped Gavin Bazunu in recent weeks.

"I think he's been going well," Selles said of McCarthy. "I think he's a player that is important for us.

"He showed his captaincy when Prowsey could not continue against Bournemouth and he is an important player for the dressing room but also for our way to play.

"I think the goalkeepers are all competitive and he's getting his chances and he's playing as good as the team."

That's all from us this morning but we'll have lots more throughout the day and from the City Ground as we bring you updates of all the action tonight.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!
