SAINTS Women have announced that Kayla Rendell and Lucia Kendall have put pen to paper on new two year deals at the club.

The academy graduates have agreed to sign new contracts that will keep them at St Mary’s until 2025.

The duo have become stalwarts in Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side as Saints embarked on their first season in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Rendell, who was recently named supporters player of the season, featured in all but one league game last season and kept nine clean sheets.

“I’m really excited to continue my journey at Southampton. The club means a lot to me having spent a long time here,” the 21 year old said upon signing her new contract.

“We’ve started something special and I’m excited to see what the future holds for this team."

Kendall saw her time on the field somewhat limited last season due to injury but was a key figure when fit.

The England youth international played 20 times in the league, scoring one goal.

Talking about her extension the 19 year old said: “I’m so happy to have signed a new deal and I’m so grateful to be part of such an ambitious club.
