SAINTS defender Armel Bella-Kotchap has seen his transfer to Bayern Munich fall through due to time constraints, the Daily Echo understands.
It has been widely reported in Germany that Bella-Kotchap was set to join on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move next season.
Saints were said to be demanding 3.5million Euros as a loan fee with around eight times that amount for the total purchase figure.
Germany international Bella-Kotchap had reportedly undergone his medical in London ahead of the prospective move.
However, as reported in Germany first, the Daily Echo is told that a Bayern transfer for Bella-Kotchap has failed due to the 5PM deadline.
The transfer window closes earlier in Germany and the formalities were not completed in time to finalise his move.
It has been reported Fulham midfield Joao Palhinha also saw his move fall away in the same fashion.
The English market will be tested for Bella-Kotchap ahead of the 11PM deadline tonight but there is no concrete interest to report now.
