HULL City face an anxious wait to find out if injured star man Ozan Tufan is available to face Saints this weekend.

The Turkish international scored four goals in the first four Championship matches thanks to a hat trick against Sheffield Wednesday.

However, Tufan, 27, has played just 18 league minutes since while missing the chance to represent his country again through injury.

Tufan is among a handful of players Hull manager Liam Rosenior could be without as Saints travel to MKM Stadium on Saturday.

Lewis Coyle missed their 2-2 draw with Millwall last time out due to a fractured eye socket and will be assessed again ahead of Saints.

Rosenior confirmed Tufan would return from his thigh problem after the break but insisted he may not risk making his injury worse by rushing back.

Former Brighton striker Aaron Connolly, who has five goals this campaign, is also carrying a foot problem but is expected to be available.

Rosenior will be without midfielder Regan Slater, whose hamstring injury is expected to sideline him until December.

Saints, meanwhile, could be without both Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jack Stephens in defence, with manager Russell Martin to issue team news on Friday.

Hull City versus Saints kicks off at 3PM on Saturday, October 21.
