SAINTS striker Paul Onuachu has scored four goals in seven games on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor.

The Nigerian is averaging a goal every 132 minutes after netting the opener in his side's 3-2 win over Fenerbache on Saturday. Former Saint Dusan Tadic scored twice for the opposition.

Speaking after the game, Onuachu said: "I am tall and you can also see that I use it sometimes my height but I also have a lot of qualities with my feet even better than my head.

"Being tall is one advantage and I have quality with my feet and you could see it with some of my actions. Being tall is an advantage but my feet are also working very well."

Onuachu, 29, signed for Saints in January to play under Nathan Jones but suffered from a complete change in the game model after the Welshman was sacked.

The six-foot six-inch tall forward featured just once under Russell Martin, as a substitute in the EFL Cup defeat at Gillingham, before departing the club.

Onuachu, who cost Saints more than £15million, could play himself into the shop window with his performances at Trabzonspor.

He is unlikely to play again for the St Mary's side, despite being contracted to 2026, so his success is a positive for the club in order to inflate his resale value.
