EASTLEIGH have used Manchester United's training facilities to help them prepare for their Vanarama National League fixture against Altrincham.

The Spitfires travel to the J Davidson Stadium off the back of a dramatic 4-4 draw with Boreham Wood during the week.

Richard Hill noted his displeasure at Eastleigh's defensive performance during that game - and he has now been given the chance to work on things at United's training ground.

Manchester United assistant Steve McClaren, who is a friend of Hill, was in attendance at their training session on Friday.

Eastleigh were hoping to set up a historic FA Cup clash with the Red Devils at the Silverlake Stadium, but fell to a 3-1 defeat against Newport.

They have now channelled all focus into the National League campaign as they look to break into the playoffs.

Eastleigh sit 11th in the division just three points outside of the playoffs.
