SAINTS return to Championship action this afternoon for the first time since their 3-1 win at Swansea City.

Russell Martin rang the changes last weekend as Southampton secured a fourth round FA Cup replay at Watford.

Saints are expected to return to full strength against a Rotherham side with one win in their last 16 games.

Here is how we expect the promotion-chasing Saints to line up at New York Stadium...

Goalkeeper

Gavin Bazunu was not a part of Southampton’s travelling squad last weekend but will return between the sticks.

Defenders

Another who was afforded a rest at Vicarage Road was Kyle Walker-Peters – who has started every league game this season.

He should return to the right side of defence while Ryan Manning will come back in for teenager Jayden Meghoma.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis will likely be a rare player that keeps his place from the FA Cup. He should be partnered by Jan Bednarek – who will be making his 200th Saints appearance.

Midfielders

There will be no Charly Alcaraz after the Argentinian completed a loan move to Italian giants Juventus.

Southampton always look at their best when Flynn Downes is starting in midfield and he should return after a rest.

Stuart Armstrong scored the equaliser at Watford and will come back in for what would also be his 200th Saints game - alongside Will Smallbone.

Forwards

Today’s trip to Rotherham may have come too early for David Brooks, who officially joined Saints on loan earlier this week.

Kamaldeen Sulemana appears to be another week away from full fitness, but Sam Edozie has been deemed fit enough for the match-day squad.

Martin did play down the suggestion the youngster is ready to start, meaning Ryan Fraser is in prime position to keep his starting place.

Top goalscorer Adam Armstrong will play down the right with Che Adams as the central forward.
