A LATE Joe Aribo winner earned Saints a 4-3 win at Birmingham City on a dramatic afternoon at St Andrew's on Saturday.

On an afternoon which saw both sides exchange leads on multiple occasions, Aribo's late goal led to wild celebrations among the Saints players and travelling supporters.

Saints players have been reacting to the victory on social media which has kept them in touch with their promotion rivals at the top of the Championship.

Will Smallbone, who had to delete his X Account earlier this week due to personal abuse, took to Instagram after his two-assist showing.

He wrote: "Big win with the boys! Thank you for all your support it means a lot."

Defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis added on Instagram: "We never give up!! See you Wednesday Saints."

Che Adams, who played for Birmingham from 2016 to 2019, thanked both sets of supporters for his return to St Andrew's.

He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Special feeling coming back to St Andrews this afternoon. Thank you for the warm welcome back!

"Amazing away support pushed us through, keep believing!"

Former set-piece coach Andreas Georgson, who is now the manager of Norwegian side Lillestrom, paid tribute to midfielder Will Smallbone.

He added on X: "Will 'Iceman' Smallbone".

Juan Larios, who has been out injured all season, could not control his excitement after Aribo's late winner, posting a keyboard smash on X.

Injured winger Ryan Fraser shared the result on his Instagram story with the caption: "Let's gooo ❤️❤️❤️."
