On Wednesday Southampton Football Club were forced to postpone their Championship fixture with Preston North End due a fire at an industrial unit outside St Mary’s Stadium.
Three days on, it appears the club’s DJ has designed the stadium’s pre-match playlist – prior to Saints taking on Sunderland this afternoon – with a certain theme in mind.
Fans attending the game could be seen taking to social media to comment on the club’s song choices as the atmosphere built around the ground, with it being reported that ‘Relight My Fire,’ ‘Fireball,’ and ‘Ring of Fire’ belted out from the stadium’s speakers before the match kicked off at 3pm.
