SAINTS have learned when they could be competing in the Championship playoffs following the conclusion of the regular season. 

The EFL have confirmed that the final fixtures of the Championship season will take place on Saturday, May 4 (12:30pm). 

The two playoff semi-final first legs will take place on Sunday, May 12 (12:30pm) and Monday, May 13 (8pm). 

The second legs will take place on Thursday, May 16 (8pm) and Friday, May 17 (8pm). The teams finishing third and sixth play in the first slots.

The teams finishing third and fourth in the table are away from home in the first legs and return to host in the second legs. 

For example, if Saints finish third they will take on sixth away from home on Sunday, May 12 before returning to St Mary's on Thursday, May 16. 

Saints are currently fourth in the table on 73 points, eight points behind Ipswich Town in third but with two games in hand. 

The Championship playoff final takes place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 26. A kick-off time for the final has not yet been confirmed.
