SAINTS midfielder Stuart Armstrong has been named in Scotland's provisional 28-man squad for the upcoming European Championships.
The news comes despite the 32 year old missing the final month of the Championship season through injury.
Armstrong will not feature again this campaign after coming off on a stretcher during the 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City on April 20.
National teams are permitted to name a final 26-man maximum squad for EURO 2024, which kicks off in Germany on June 14.
Saints striker Che Adams has been named alongside Armstrong in the squad, which will see a minimum of two names cut.

Trimmed squads must be decided by June 7, with Scotland facing Gibraltar and Filand in friendlies on June 3 and June 7 respectively.
Armstrong is out of contract at Saints this summer and could have played his last game for the club after six years of service.
