A Hampshire billiards squad has secured a prestigious title.
Chandlers Ford Central won the esteemed EABA 2023-2024 County Billiards Championship 3-0 against Cheshire A.
The team's players John Mullane, Ryan Mears and Terry Azor were victorious in a thrilling series of matches at the LandyWood Snooker Club, West Midlands.
The trio created Hampshire history by going unbeaten throughout the competition, a feat unseen in previous tournaments.
In a proud statement, Captain Mullane celebrated his team's dazzling performance.
Mullane bested John Hughes 290-138, Mears defeated Chris Achilles 302-148, and Azor conquered Matt Jackson 254-194, for an unblemished run to the title.
This marks Hampshire's third win of the trophy, with previous victories in 1980 and 2012.
The triumphant team echoed the successes of their 1980 and 2012 predecessors, signifying a potent legacy of county billiards championships for Hampshire.
