MIDDLESEX and Hampshire Hawks had to settle for a point apiece on Saturday as the waterlogged surface at Radlett rendered their Vitality Blast South Group tie unplayable.
Heavy rain during the morning meant the pitch remained covered and umpires Nigel Llong and Neil Pratt eventually called off the contest at 4.15pm, following a further downpour.
It was Middlesex’s second washout in less than 24 hours, with the weather also preventing them from taking to the field against Surrey on Friday.
The point lifted the Hawks, who have now gone six Blast matches without a win, to sixth place in the table, while Middlesex stay bottom.
