CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers insisted "nothing" has changed in the Matt O'Riley transfer saga - and that the Scottish club do not want to sell.
Saints are among several clubs interested in the 23 year old midfielder this summer after he netted 18 league goals last season.
They have reportedly had bids rejected, along with Italian outfit Atalanta, while Brighton are said to be the latest to join the race.
Rodgers insists Celtic will only sell if a bidding club meets their valuation of the former MK Dons man - expected to be more than £25million.
He told Sky Sports: "Nothing has changed, there are bids that will come in for Matt but I repeat that there is no need for us to sell and we don’t want to sell.
"If a bid comes in that meets our valuation then that is a different matter, we all know where Celtic are as a club.
"Until that moment, I am fairly relaxed. Matt is training really well, he’s working hard and until that changes, we just continue focusing on moving forward."
Saints manager Russell Martin admitted he will always be interested in O'Riley while he is a boss, after a successful spell together at MK Dons.
"I tried to take him to Swansea and it would have been incredible business for them, as it has been for Celtic," he told the Daily Echo.
"He's had a lot of interest from a lot of clubs. I'll always have an interest in Matty whilst I'm managing and he's playing because as a person, he's great."
Fulham academy graduate O'Riley was considered among Southampton's top targets this summer but so far a deal has failed to materialise.
