SAINTS under-21 midfielder Diamond Edwards has joined League Two Port Vale on a permanent deal.
Edwards has signed a one-year contract at Port Vale following a successful trial period with Darren Moore’s side over the summer.
The 20 year old joins Vale after five years at Saints, during which time he excelled through the scholarship age groups to earn his first professional contract and full senior debut.
Vale boss Moore said: “Diamond has spent the majority of the summer on trial with us and has impressed throughout.
“He is an exciting player who likes to play on the front foot and get at defenders to create chances, something that I’m sure will be thoroughly appreciated by our supporters.
“Diamond will be a really good attacking asset to the squad as we progress through the season and adds even further competition for places in the wide areas of the team.
"I am delighted to officially welcome him into our squad.”
He was a part of the 2021/22 Under-18s Premier League South title-winning team before establishing himself at Under-21s level.
