SAINTS are hopeful of securing a permanent return for winger Ryan Fraser following his successful loan spell last season, the Daily Echo understands.
Southampton have pursued the former Scotland international all summer and Fraser has been keen on a return since winning the play-off final.
The former Cherries man told the Echo that he would try his best to ensure a permanent move to St Mary's.
Club hopeful Ryan Fraser will get done today and Noel Buck too - one for the under-21s.

Happy to see Fraser return, to be honest. Proved to be quite effective over a full season.#SaintsFC
Fraser has not featured for Newcastle since returning to St James' Park having been frozen out of Eddie Howe's side.
The 30 year old made 44 appearances for Saints last season - including a start at Wembley - and scored eight times.
Speaking after Southampton's promotion in May, Fraser said: "It's probably the best feeling I've had in my career.
"Obviously, I have had other promotions, but this one doesn't come close. This is by far the best feeling I've ever had.
"I've said it for so long now but it's just the family, spirits, fans, gaffer, lads - I could just keep going and it's just, yeah, no better feeling.
"A lot was riding up onto this game and the lads were brilliant, just defending for our lives and showing a different side of us."
